Pat flies the flag for Lynn Triathlon Club

It was Pat Cooke-Rogers’ turn to fly the flag for GB and Lynn Triathlon Club last weekend at the ITU Long Distance World Championships in Denmark.

The 3km harbour swim was followed by a 121km fast and flat bike ride, then a 31km run around Hans Christen Anderson’s home town of Odense.

Before the race, Pat was worried about the tight cutoff times, but romped home in seventh place in the F60-64 AG and a total time of 10 hours 11 minutes and 40 seconds.

For the rest of the club, it was a weekend off from racing but there was a bumper turnout at their weekend open-water swim session in Pentney Lakes.

Junior members also enjoyed the warm water in preparation for a busy few weeks of racing ahead.
