Proctor ruled out od Stars' Premiership clash

Aussie ace Ty Proctor has been ruled out of King’s Lynn’s Premiership clash with Rye House at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight.

Proctor has been suffering from a shoulder injury and was keen to make a return tonight but needs a few more days rest.

Tru Plant Stars boss Dale Allitt said: “It’s a blow to be without Ty because he’s been such a good signing for us, but he needs to ensure he is 100 per cent before coming back and he isn’t quite there.

“We’ll share his rides around the team under the rider replacement facility and young Taylor Hampshire will be our number eight on standby.”

Lynn Stars team manager Dale Allitt says it’s important his side return to winning ways when they host Rye House at The Adrian Flux Arena on Monday (7.30).

After a run of three straight defeats, the Tru Plant Stars find themselves bottom of the Premiership standings – but they do have meetings in hand on those above them.

Allitt said: “It goes without saying that we go into Monday’s meeting on the back of our most difficult spell of the season but as I have always said, it’s how you respond to those sorts of things that matters most.

“We were very disappointed to lose to Somerset in our last home fixture and the result at Poole last Wednesday was also very frustrating as we know we’re so much better than that.

“But we had riders missing on both of those occasions so hopefully we can regroup as a 1-7 and get our season back on track.”

Monday’s raceday programme is also a special souvenir, limited edition brochure dedicated to Stars skipper Robert Lambert who won silver with Great Britain in the Speedway of Nations, was crowned British Champion and secured his place in the World Under-21 Championship series all in the space of seven days.

It features a range of views, interviews and pictures and will be available from the track for just £3.

Fans will also be able to grab a photograph with Lambert and his British Championship trophy between 7 and 7.15 upon entry to the stadium.

Fans should note tonight’s meeting is NOT on TV.

The England World Cup game will be shown in the club bar and British Champion Robert Lambert will have his trophy on display to meet fans between 7-7.15pm.
