Swaffham Town are just gr-eight at Shoemakers Lane
There was a gr-eight performance from Swaffham Town as the goals flowed at Shoemakers Lane.
The Pedlars dished out an 8-0 thrashing to Needham Market Reserves in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North.
Nick Castellan (2), Ryan Pearson (2), Matt Gilchrist, Kyle Plumb, Joe Jackson were all among the goals as Swaffham bounced back from back-to-back league and cup defeats in style.
Fakenham Town were also among the goals as they dented Diss Town's encouraging start to the new campaign.
Luke Priestly (2) and Callum Brain both found the back of the net as the Ghosts triumphed 4-0 at Clipbush Park.
Downham Town also returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Leiston Town Reserves.
The only West Norfolk side to draw a blank were King's Lynn Town Reserves who were on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline against Norwich CBS at The Walks.
It was hardly the start Lynn's second string wanted and after the game assistant boss Johnny Alflatt took to Facebook to vent his frustration.
A disappointed Alflatt said on Facebook: "Horrible afternoon. As management, Sealsy and myself have to look at ourselves as we put the players out on the pitch.
"It’s about working hard at training this week and putting things right. Apologies to anyone that came to support us today that wasn’t good enough at any level of football."
