Aaron holds onto championship lead

West Norfolk karting star Aaron Alexander held onto his championship lead at the Teeside Autodrome, in Middlesbrough, at the weekend.

The King Edward VII Academy pupil won his first heat and was second in his next two outings to book his place in what turned out to be an action-packed final.

Starting on grid spot two, the top three drivers, including Alexander, were bumper-to-bumper at times in the race.

Alexander managed to take the lead and create a gap from Kieran, but Sandro was pushing hard in third place witch pushed Kieran onto Aaron,

Kieran made a good high-speed move and passed Alexander to leave him second when crossing the line for the chequered flag.

The team move onto Cumbria for the Rowrah Championship round this weekend.

Aleaxnder and his team thank sponsors: 24-7 Self Storage and Best@Bars King’s Lynn.
