Heacham see off King’s Lynn Soccer Club in only clash of the day
The disruptive conditions continued this past Saturday, with only the single Mid Norfolk Youth Girls League fixture surviving.
That was in the Under 12 division, where KLSC hosted Heacham.
It was the away side who held the 1-0 advantage at half-time after Evelyn Brennock converted a corner.
She repeated the trick after break, similarly grabbing her second.
KLSC set up a grandstand finish when Summer Ellis hit back shortly afterwards with her ninth goal of the season.
The points were ultimately destined to head back to the coast though, and were secured when Eloise Herring notched Heacham’s third with a great strike from outside of the penalty box in a final score of 3-1.
The MNYL are sure of representation in the next round of the inaugural Norfolk Girls County Cup, with two of their sides progressing.
Heacham were awarded a home walkover, whilst Terrington did have to take to the pitch to ensure that their name is in the hat.
They did so in convincing fashion, securing a 6-0 victory away at Martham Oaks Girls.
Alice Todd picked up a hat-trick, with Harriett Chisam, Sophie Codrington and Summer Ringer all adding a goal apiece.
