A feast of weekend racing in Lynn

Stock car and banger racing returns to the Adrian Flux Arena on Saturday when the 1500cc banger East Anglian teams, two-litre stock cars and 1300 stock cars are all in action.

Several line-ups will be fielding West Norfolk drivers.

STB have entered two teams full of local talent for the competition and the hard-charging drivers will be determined to make their mark one way or another.

Chris Wick, Paul Lovick, Nick Unermann and Tim Rees make up the A team with Danny Bear and Alan Jackson making up part of the B Team.

Rees has been putting in some great performances over the past few meetings he has performed in at Lynn whilst Alan Jackson has already made it very clear that he is on the hunt for an Entertainer Award.

One team who will definitely be going for the most entertaining team of the day award are the Predators.

Predators will be led into battle by Kieran Bowman who currently leads the way in the Entertainer League and, even at this early stage of the season, looks like romping his way to the title.

Backed up by his brother Bradley and Robert Betts, the Predators will have all guns firing and it is great to see this long-standing team back to having the success which they enjoyed years ago.

Pre-meeting favourites for the main title will be the Team Mates and Downham’s Shaun Clarke will be an integral part of this team’s charge for top honours.

The Smurfs are another team with long-standing roots, who will be led into action led by veteran performer Steven Pope, together with young gun Ashlun Woods and new member James Barred.

The two-litre stock car entry includes Willie Skoyles and Lee Sampson.

Both are solid performers around Lynn and Skoyles has already picked up a race victory at the venue in 2018.

Sampson will be looking to take advantage of what looks like being a temporary downgrading to blue, which will see him with a more advantageous grid spot.

He used this to full effect at the National Championship, at Scotland, a couple of weeks ago and he will be keen to get some good results at his local track on Saturday.

The 1300 stock cars will include an appearance from Jake Burgess.
