Renegade Runners strike gold
Renegade Runners have followed up their success at this year's GEAR by scooping a number of medals in various competitions.
There were gold medals for Matt Pyatt (M40) and Jane Ashby (F65), as well as a big personal best time for Keith Morris, at the Dereham 10 Mile race which incorporated the Norfolk County Championships.
Pyatt was also in fine form at the Liverpool Marathon on Sunday where he finished eighth overall and first in age group with a time of two hours 50 minutes and 30 seconds on a warm day.
This was a massive 17-minute improvement from the London Marathon a month before.
On the same day, the biggest turnout was at the inaugural Sublime 10k, held in Swaffham.
First home was Matthew Thrower, who finished 12th overall and beat his PB by almost a minute-and-a-half to clock 38.29.
Kerrie Page was delighted to finish under the hour in 59.15.
The biggest PB of the day was achieved by Charlie Pyatt who chalked off more than two minutes off of his best to finish in 76.53.
At the Chase the Train event, an off-road run of over nine miles, Steve Franklin had an excellent run to finish 15th and, despite a fall, Jane Ashby still won her age group by more than nine minutes.
At the most picturesque event of the day, Charlotte Dixon competed at the Colchester Zoo Stampede where she bagged a new PB of 60.41.
Finally, at the Yarmouth five-mile event, Lawrence Matthews had an outstanding run to finish in 46 minutes, with Jane Ashby once again winning the F65 category.
The club wish to thank all supporters who attended these events.
