After-school West Lynn club hosts tournament

The after-school junior badminton club at West Lynn finished their season with a tournament.

Children were split into two league groups with the top two from each group going through to a round-robin play off box to determine the top four juniors.

A total of 62 games were played during the competition, with 16 children taking part.

Finishing in fourth place was Tia, 11, followed by the bronze medal winner, Year 6 pupil Maisy with 40 points, while Abbie, 9, was awarded the silver medal with 42 points.

But the outright winner, having not lost a single game during the whole competition, was Year 4 pupil, Cody, 8.

Both Cody and Abbie were invited into the West Norfolk Junior badminton development squad and also returned home from the West Norfolk Junior Championships with trophies.

Most improved player of the season, went to Year 3 pupil, Archie.
