West Norfolk's Luke sets blistering time in Quad Kids match
West Norfolk Athletic Club were represented by a number of young athletes in the second match of the Quad Kids series at Yarmouth.
In the Under-11 boys, Luke Anderson finished in second place overall, just a point behind the leader, with his highest points coming in the 600m with a blistering 1m57s time and a total of 233 points overall.
Harrison Lesniak was in 10th place with a very fast 75m in 11.9s and a big throw of 20.15m for a total of 185 points.
Wilf Gosnell improved massively from 119 points last time to 142 this time with personal bests in three of his four events, including a throw of 19.95m.
Jacob Dale, on his first event, performed brilliantly with a total of 137 points, showing promise in all events and running a 2m22s 600m at only eight-years-old.
In the Under-13 boys, Mossy Gray was the club's sole competitor, finishing on 112 points, with a massive throw of 33.25m in the howler for fourth place and a gutsy 800m with an outstanding finish.
For the Under-13 girls, Becs Johnson finished overall in equal third place with 187 points, consistent with her first quad kids and improving on her 800m with 3m01s and long jump with 3.70m.
Myley Gilboy had a jump from 159 to 164 points, with a pb in 800m of 3m04s and 17.2m in the howler.
Katie Cawson almost doubled her points total up to 130 from 79 with a PB in three out of her four events, including a huge 800m PB of 3m30s.
Laila Chapman again showed a massive points increase from 89 to 132, had a PB in every single event, notably improving her howler from 13m up to 22.62m and a 21-second PB in the 800m.
The club would like to recognise a great team spirit displayed by the young WNAC athletes as they were all outstanding at supporting each other.
