On Friday, Norman, 22, took to Twitter to say: "Unbelievable feeling! Delighted to sign for @OUFCOfficial ... A day that truly makes all of the hard work worth it. Can’t wait to get started. #OUFC"

A statement on the Oxford United website read:

Norman had confirmed he was leaving the Linnets last week after defeat in the Southern Premier Division play-off final against Slough Town at The Walks.

The 22-year-old was a key part of the Lynn team which finished second, scoring seven goals in 52 games and contributing numerous assists.

Manager Karl Robinson was pleased to have persuaded the former Norwich City youngster that his future was with the U’s:

Robinson said: "Cameron scored plenty of goals and was leading the way with assists as well so I’m not surprised clubs were looking but he came here and took a look at what we are building - not just a new training ground but also in terms of the squad - and he wants to be part of that.

“He is tall, very athletic, has a great attitude and we believe is an outstanding prospect for the future.”

Norman, who was magnificent for Lynn last season, said: “As soon as I met Karl and looked around here I knew I wanted to join.

"I have loved my time at King’s Lynn and want to thank them for everything, but this is an exciting move for me and a chance to get back into the EFL and show what I can do.

“A lot of work has gone into it, but I can honestly say now I’m really excited and can’t wait to get going."

Norman was part of Norwich City's FA Youth Cup winning squad in 2013 but was released in 2016, initially playing for Norwich United before a spell with Concord Rangers in National League South.
