Veterans Central’s Easter fun day to be hosted at West Raynham Station Headquarters in partnership with Scotty’s Little Soldiers
Many Easter events are just around the corner, including this action-packed fun day.
Veterans Central is hosting an Easter Egg Fun Day at West Raynham Station Headquarters (SHQ) on Sunday, April 20, in conjunction with Lynn-based Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
Entry is free and visitors can take part in activities in the gardens and in the SHQ building.
The fun day will take place from 10.30am-2.30pm, with activities and facilities including:
- Easter Egg Hunt: Find the 10 hidden animal pictures in the SHQ garden and claim your bag of eggs.
- Free fun games such as bean bag throw, where participants will need to get the bags in the Red Arrows wheelbarrow to win prizes. Spin the Wheel, where it must land on the red segments to win a prize. Visitors will also be able to guess the number of eggs in the jar – the nearest answer wins the jar of eggs. There will also be lawn darts and other games.
- Activities taking place will include flying the virtual reality cockpit or, for younger children, the ‘pilot simulator’, sitting in the Canberra aircraft cockpit, decorating Easter biscuits, and colouring an Easter bag or picture to take home.
- The SHQ Mice: Hear the story of how the SHQ mice found the magic Easter eggs.
- Garden activities will include bee and bug hotel building where you will be able to create and name your own insect hotel for the SHQ Wild Garden, help Beatrice mouse plant herbs and decorate a gnome for the Gnome Garden. Visitors will also be able to meet Benji the SHQ mascot dog, and visit SHQ Café for some special Easter treats.
