King’s Lynn Community Cinema Club returns to Majestic Cinema for award-winning film ‘The Outrun’
The next film in the King’s Lynn Community Cinema Club winter programme is one which has been nominated for numerous awards.
This evening, the club will be screening ‘The Outrun’ in Screen 2 of the Majestic Cinema at 7.30pm.
This film was nominated for an impressive 27 awards – winning five – of which actor Saoirse Ronan won the Irish Film and Television Awards for Best Lead Actress and the London Critics Circle Film Awards for British/Irish Performer of the Year.
In her career, she has been nominated for four Academy Awards, seven BAFTAs and has won a Golden Globe for her part in the film ‘Lady Bird’.
The Outrun is about Rona, an alcoholic in London. She is in love with Daynin one moment and then aggressively drunk with no sense of control the next.
She heads for her childhood home in the Orkney Islands, where she learns to embrace ‘one day at a time’.
As with any KLCCC films, over 18-year-olds are welcome to go along and can pay £5 cash on the door.
