Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse celebrates spring with farming activities for families during half term
Are you looking for things to do with your little ones during the half term? If so, a workhouse museum has a range of fun farming activities for all to enjoy.
Spring is in full swing at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse as visitors can get hands-on until Tuesday, April 22 from 10am-5pm.
Join in with fun farming activities at 11am-12noon and 2pm-3pm every day, where you might be able to get up close with the museum’s Super Shepherd handling objects or make a ‘Happy Spring’ card, a felt chicken egg cosy, or even an Easter bonnet.
Activities vary and are led in the learning centre or farmhouse. Pick up a self-led trail from the gift shop every day to see the workhouse through Victorian inmate Frances Easter’s eyes, or take a costumed character tour on special dates.
Visitors will be able to explore the site with its Habitats for Nature Trail – including stamps on the farm.
While at Union Farm, you can meet newborn animals, have a go at some spring cleaning, and enjoy the play station for little ones.
The price for the event is included in the general admission.
