Male voice choir that have worked with musical greats including the King’s Singers, the BBC Concert Orchestra, legendary soprano Lesley Garrett returns to King's Lynn
A summer concert sees the return of a male voice choir who has worked with musical greats.
On Saturday, June 18, the Peterborough Male Voice Choir and Peterborough Voices will return for an uplifting evening of music in the beautiful setting of St Nicholas' Chapel, performing varied highlights from their repertoire.
This will include choral favourites, ballads and songs from their well known shows.
The sing-tastic event will be the choirs’ third visit to Lynn since they brought their Festival of Remembrance to St Nicholas’ Chapel in 2019 and will commemorate the 75th anniversary year of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy.
The choir have worked with musical greats including the King’s Singers, the BBC Concert Orchestra, legendary soprano Lesley Garrett, folk hero Jon Boden of Bellowhead, classical crossover group Blake and the Grimethorpe, Fodens and Brighouse and Rastrick bands, as well as performing and competing across the UK and Europe.
Later this year they will share a stage with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in their home city of Peterborough in Classics at the Cathedral.
A spokesperson said: "The choirs are looking forward to returning and performing in the wonderfully atmospheric setting of St Nicholas’ chapel with its stunning acoustic. Do join them for what promises to be a very special evening."
