Olly Day and Nigel 'boy' Syer double act comes to Hunstanton theatre

'If it's Laughter You're After' is the title of a show coming to Hunstanton next week full of music, comedy and magic.

Olly Day, master of magic and mirth, and accordionist Nigel 'boy' Syer, combine to perform at the Princess Theatre in Hunstanton on Thursday, September 5 at 2.30pm.

Billed as 'The Real Norfolk Show', this year's show sees Nigel and Olly as a pair of East Coast fishermen, singing a sea shanty specifically written for the performance, alongside gags and songs with a seaside flavour.

"It's going to be nautical but nice!" Mr Day said, who has spent the last ten-years starring in Cromer's end-of-the-pier Christmas show.

Nigel 'boy' Syer has built up a following throughout East Anglia as Norfolk's funniest accordionist, and he will be performing his own special brand of country and comedy songs.

The special guest year this year is Lisa Marie, a Norfolk singer who has spent the last few years touring with Olly and Nigel across East Anglia.

Mr Day said: "The Princess Theatre is one of the gems of Norfolk. It has such a great atmosphere.

"The laughs roll towards you like big waves."

Mr Syer added: "We're having such fun with the 'Laughter' show this year. After performing on my own for so long, it's great to be part of a double act.

"It gives us the chance to perform so many different sketches and comedy songs. The audiences are loving it too!"

Tickets cost £14 and £13 for concessions, and can be purchased by calling the Princess Theatre box office on 01485 532252.
