Two famous international pianists have praised Hewitt’s work.

Vladimir Ashkenazy said: “I like very much Hewitt's devotion to the music and his attention to detail. He is very musical and the Largo of Op 10 No 3 touched me."

John Lill added: “I am very impressed with this splendid CD. It is outstanding playing from a masterful musician which does full justice to these great works. This playing deserves a wide public."

Organisers have said that this opening recital of 2025 is not to be missed. The evening will be split into two 40-minute parts, with a 20-minute interval.
