Stalin movie is well-timed with Copperfield filming
With impeccable timing, the King's Lynn Community Cinema Club, in collaboration with the King's lynn Festival, is to screen The Death of Stalin today - while its director Armando Iannucci is in town filming his next project.
Iannucci is filming The Personal Life of David Copperfield, with such stars as Dev Patel and Peter Capaldi, on Saturday Market Place and Purfleet Quay.
His last film, The Death of Stalin was released in 2017 and is a deeply satirical back comedy and was widely acclaimed on both sides of the Atlantic, although not surprisingly, it was banned in Russia.
As a special bonus for all filmgoers, the producer, Kevin Loader, and co-writer, Peter Fellows are planning to appear at St George's Guildhall to introduce the film, subject to their filming schedule going to plan.
The Death of Stalin is being shown at St George's Guildhall at 2.30pm. Tickets are available on the door for £5.
