King’s Lynn Festival’s Coffee Concert features international duo violinist Benjamin Baker and pianist Daniel Lebhardt at town hall on Friday
King’s Lynn Festival’s spring concert series is returning for a morning of music performed by an international duo.
The concert will be held at Lynn Town Hall on Friday at 11am with audiences being advised to secure their tickets well ahead of the date to avoid disappointment.
Ambrose Miller, artistic director of the festival, said: “Our previous concert in this series was a sell-out earlier this month, with people queuing to get in and enjoy the lively social gathering over coffee ahead of the performance.
“We strongly recommend that you don’t take chances on securing your ticket on the morning itself.
“We would hate you to miss our next brilliant 'Coffee Concert’, with a performance by the New Zealander violinist Benjamin Baker and Hungarian pianist Daniel Lebhardt.”
Both musicians are regular performers in the Wigmore Hall as soloists, with Benjamin Baker also appearing on BBC Radio 3 and as a chamber musician.
He debuted this season with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and recent tours have taken him to the USA, Argentina, and back home to New Zealand for his own festival, At the World’s Edge.
Lebhardt has appeared as a soloist in Aldeburgh and in the USA, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Lynn, the Konzerthaus Orchestra in Berlin, and the National Orchestra of Ukraine.
The programme on Friday includes Schubert’s Rondo in B minor, Brahms’ A major sonata, and a Respighi rarity.
