Music in the Burnhams’ musical evening with young musicians Jodie Wiggins and Callum Adkins at Burnham Overy Staithe Village Hall

A young duo will be hosting an evening of musical entertainment this weekend.

Music in the Burnhams is putting on an event with Jodie Wiggins and Callum Adkins at Burnham Overy Staithe Village Hall on Saturday, April 12 at 7pm.

Jodie Wiggins and Callum Adkins are two young musicians that Music in the Burnhams are particularly proud of.

Marian Abramovich, chair of the trustees, said: “When I first met them, they were first-year students, and now they have blossomed into first-class performers.”

Jodie will graduate in a degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire this summer and in the last year has been singing in major music venues and productions in the UK to great reviews. She aims to continue her studies in Vienna.

Callum graduated from The University of Chichester where he studied music with theatre and has since performed in several theatre productions in the last year.

The pair have run the summer workshop at Burnham Market Primary School for the last three years, and this year, they have written a special production just for this event.

Marian added: “We therefore feel they need lots of encouragement and thanks.”

On Saturday, they will provide the entertainment for the Music Supper Club. Building on the success of Music in the Burnhams’ December event, there will be finger food, good wine and lots of friendly people to make it another evening to remember.

Music will include songs from the West End and other well-known composers, and Marian said Callum will bring his usual wit and skills as a raconteur to make it another relaxed, informal, and friendly evening.
